  29. Conference Room
  30. This workshop will focus on finding intersections of power and sustainability strategies for your Ai-driven Datacenter :

    • The role of energy efficiency in “bending the energy curve”:  Until recently, conventional wisdom held that data center efficiency was so finely tuned, there wasn’t a lot of fruit left on the tree.  After a precipitous drop between 2007 and 2018, PUE has held fairly constant over the past six years.  However, new opportunities for honing efficiency may significantly change the calculus for how much energy our industry will need by 2030.
    • Onsite energy strategies:  The ability to generate and store energy within the data center fence has been hailed as something of a silver bullet for the problem of grid constraints.  However, the load profile of a hyperscale data center make the technology and finance equations challenging, and despite many pilots, we have not yet seen data center microgrids take off.
